Not at all! When you first run setup, if it finds matching cards in your collection it gives you two clear choices:
- Merge: Links matching cards into the class deck while preserving your existing scheduling and review history.
- Import separately: Leaves your existing cards 100% untouched and imports clean class copies with fresh progress.
You can't break anything, and Anki always creates an automatic backup first.
Yes! You use your desktop/laptop to manage the dashboard (checking off lectures and running updates). Once the cards move into your active Exam deck, just hit Anki's standard Sync button. Your organized decks and all downloaded media will sync directly to AnkiMobile (iOS) or AnkiDroid.
DONT CLICK FINISH EXAM UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED YOUR EXAM <3
Clicking Finish Exam resets your checked lectures for that course, puts unstudied cards back to sleep, and sends reviewed cards into your High/Med/Low yield decks. Wait until you've walked out of the testing center before clicking it!
Because the media library is around 7 GB, your initial download might have paused or timed out. Just open Anki, go to SHSU → Image help in the top menu bar, and click Resume download. It will check what you have and quickly grab only what's missing.
In-house cards are specifically written by our classmates for our professors' lecture slides and test objectives. They have a distinct in-house badge on them so you can easily spot school-specific material vs. third-party board content.
Yes! The add-on is completely FSRS native. In fact, it includes a dedicated Curriculum FSRS Optimizer that calculates custom weights tailored to medical block pacing while preserving your target desired retention.
Just open the dashboard (Ctrl + Alt + D) or click SHSU → Setup wizard, select your new block or cohort, and confirm. The dashboard will automatically populate the new courses and lecture lists.
